This action-packed, interactive event gives players the chance to swing for the fences in a series of thrilling Softball skills competitions—starting with an electric opening ceremony and continuing throughout the tournament. From laser throws to clutch hitting and lightning-fast base running, every play counts. Once the dust settles and the stats are in, the Nationals Team Showcase Champions will be crowned in a grand closing ceremony! Think your squad has what it takes to dominate the diamond? Team Showcase Skill Descriptions

Pitcher Velocity
Every throw will have an “Velocity” in Miles Per Hour (MPH). The throw must hit the target in order for it to count. The player with the highest MPH velocity will determine a winner.
Hitting Velocity
Hitting Velocity measures the power and force behind your swing. The winning athlete in each age group will parade explosive power to result in exit velocities that are nothing short of electrifying.
Road Runner
This is a timed event where a runner starts and ends at home.
Homerun Derby
The athlete who hits the most homeruns in each age group will be named the winner.

Team Showcase Instructions

  1. A minimum of two participants from each team will participate in the Pitcher Velocity. If a team has more than two participant, the player with the highest velocity will be the score recorded for that team.
  2. Each participant will get 3 attempts to pitch from their age group’s respective pitching distance. The athlete may not run and throw a pitch. Feet must be stagnant in a normal pitching position.
  3. Every throw will have an “Velocity” in Miles Per Hour (MPH). The throw must hit the target in order for it to count.
  4. The player with the highest MPH velocity will determine a winner.

  2. Each participant will get 3 attempts to hit. 
  3. Every hit will have an “Velocity” in Miles Per Hour (MPH). 
  4. The player with the highest MPH velocity will determine a winner.
  1. The player starts in the batter’s box or a designated spot on home plate.
  2. The player runs hard and touches first base, then second base, then third base, and finally back to home plate.
  3. The race ends when the player crosses home plate.
  4. The fastest time wins the competition for that age group.
  1. One (1) player from each team will participate in the derby.
  2. The player will receive pitches from the person of their choice. Hitter must supply their own tosser. Tossing distance is up to the athlete, but it must come from in front of the athlete and be overhand.
  3. Each player will receive 45 second timed round to hit as many HR’s as they can. Time starts when the first pitch is thrown. Any pitches thrown after the time expires will be nullified.
  4. The athlete who hits the most homeruns in each age group will be named the winner.
  • 10U: 100′
  • 12U: 125′
  • 14U: 150′
  • 16U/18U: 175′
